Changes due to COVID-19

As the pandemic continues; we, like everyone else, are optimistic about the vaccines but remain concerned for the health and safety of our clients, staff, and families in the near term. As the government continues to limit gatherings and re-openings, we continue to monitor regulations and conditions as they impact our operations. Of course, as a financial services company, we remain fully operational. Our professional staff are working from home to some extent, which may require a little more time to respond. Regardless, we remain committed to providing our clients with the best possible service.

As you are probably aware, the government has extended the due date for filing and payment of 2020 taxes to May 17, 2021. However, they did not extend the due date of the first quarter estimated tax payments for 2021. We are working as rapidly as possible to clear the backlog and complete returns as early as possible, but given the complexities of timing created by the change in due date, we may still need to file an extension. Each client situation is unique. Your preparer will discuss the particulars of your situation with you.

We continue to monitor changes in financial markets as well and believe that our approach to asset allocation means that your investments are well diversified and representative of your specific risk profile. We strongly believe that our long-term approach will once again prove to be the best path. As always, we are available to discuss your specific situation with you.

As of this date, our building remains closed to outside visitors. As such, in person client appointments are not available. We have added video conference capabilities if you would like to discuss something “face to face,” just ask our team to set this up. Please note that you can send information electronically or via mail or delivery service. If you haven’t already, you might want to register for our File Share service. This is a secure file transfer portal where you can upload confidential documents safely and securely. Please click the File Share Log In box below to log in or register. Of course, you can always contact us by e-mail or phone and if we aren’t available to answer your call, we will get back to you just as soon as possible.

Obviously, these are unusual circumstances. Rest assured we, just like you, are doing everything we can to adapt. Our goal is to continue to serve our clients as you have come to expect for over 40 years.
